Oglethorpe University congratulates the 365 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List, honoring those who achieved at least a 3.50 term grade-point average while earning 12 or more semester hours.

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,000 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2019 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

Welcome home, Bobcats! On Friday, July,12 2019, Georgia College celebrated the newest students and their families as they attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program packed with opportunities for new students to connect with faculty in their intended major and become familiar with the campus as well as the array of academic and campus life programs available. Orientation allows new members of the Bobcat family to "take care of business" as they prepare for move-in.

More than 150 students from the Georgia State University College of Law earned law (Juris Doctor) degrees during the spring 2019 semester. The university honored students for their achievements this past May, and officially conferred law degrees in late June 2019.

The following students have earned the distinction of Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Spring 2019.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 3,800 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute's 257th Commencement exercises on May 3-4, 2019, at the McCamish Pavilion.

More than 2,000 students earned bachelor's degrees from Georgia State University during the Spring 2019 semester.

Georgia State University conferred Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees to students during the Spring 2019 semester.

More than 800 students earned associate's degrees from Georgia State University's Perimeter College during the Spring 2019 semester.

In ceremonies held May 3 at the University of North Georgia, graduating cadets were awarded commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army or Georgia National Guard.

More than 280 University of Alabama students are receiving hands-on, innovative and advanced educational experiences with dozens of companies and organizations across the United States through UA's Cooperative Education Program for summer 2019. In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience. Participants maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation.

Nearly 770 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the President's List for the Spring 2019 semester. To be named to the President's List, students must achieve a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) for the semester. CCU has a student body of 10,600. More than 2,000 students were also named to the Dean's List for the spring semester, which means more than 21 percent of the student body earned recognition on either the Dean's List or the President's List. Of those on the President's List, 141 are freshmen, 177 are sophomores, 166 are juniors and 285 are seniors.

Some 3,275 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 218th commencement ceremonies. Darren Walker who presides over the Ford Foundation, one of the world's most influential social justice philanthropies and one of the largest private foundations in the United States, delivered the address.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2019 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2019. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

The Alpha Eta National Honor Society promotes and recognizes significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Baccalaureate degree candidates who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible for induction. The Alpha Eta motto is "Together We Serve" to represent all of the allied health professions. Georgia State University became a founding member of Alpha Eta in March 1975.
